Building Handyman (Handyperson)

McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes is seeking a versatile, reliable Building Handyman (Handyperson) to join our team. With 11 sites in and around Calgary, this role offers plenty of variety in day-to-day tasks, a positive work culture, and stable, year-round employment. We are a family-owned and operated business having maintained our reputation as one of Calgary and Southern Alberta's most esteemed funeral homes since 1903.

What You Will Do:

• Perform general building and grounds maintenance and repairs which may include: drywall repairs, painting, landscaping, snow removal, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, along with other general maintenance tasks across multiple sites.

• Basic computer and smart phone skills
• A Class 5, non-GDL driver's license with less than 6 demerits
• Driver's abstract and police security check are required
• Fluent English (written and oral) and well-developed communication skills
• Physical ability to perform all job functions which may include: overhead reaching, working from heights, crouching, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, lifting and carrying objects up to 50lbs, maintaining a fast, steady pace
• Ability to work occasional weekends, after hours, or emergency call-outs as needed
• Industry and trade certifications are definite assets but not required

• $27.50/hr to start
• 37.5 hour work week - 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday
